The Handy Search, from JRC, is the fastest and easiest way to examine reinforced concrete, bridges, roadways, tunnels and buildings for inspection, maintenance and quality assurance; allowing users to search for steel reinforcement bars, electrical and gas line conduits, plumbing, PVC pipe, voids and more.

What makes this instrument so unique is its compact, light weight design. Coming in at less than 2 pounds, it can evaluate conditions in concrete up to 30cm in depth and its 512MB memory card is capable of saving more than 200 data files.
