Eddyfi Lyft Pulsed Eddy Current Inspection System – Available for rental / hire from Ashtead Technology.

Available for rental / hire, the Eddyfi Lyft is a Pulsed Eddy Current Inspection System which has been designed specifically to support inspecting Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI).

Until now, measuring wall thickness over insulation (liftoff) remained one of the greatest asset integrity issues for the Oil & Gas industry. The Eddyfi Lyft allows you to accurately measure corrosion and wall thickness on insulated pipes without the limitations of current methods or the costly requirement to remove insulation.

Suitable for use on a number of materials including metal, aluminium, stainless steel and galvanized steel weather jackets, the Eddyfi Lyft provides real-time C-scan imaging, wall thickness measurements (ID and OD corrosion) and fast data acquisition (up to 15 readings per second).

To support differing application requirements, the following accessories are available to rent with the Eddyfi Lyft:

  • Standard Probe kit – containing small (PEC-025-ENC-H05S) medium (PEC-089-ENC-H05S) and large (PEC-152-ENC-H05S) probes (all with 5m cables as standard)
  • PEC-SZ-089-H20S – Splash Zone Probe  - for use up to 15m underwater (with 25m cable)
  • PEC-TF-400H05S - Tank Floor Annular Ring Probe - suitable for inspecting corrosion on storage tank floor annular rings. 
  • PEC-POLE-XH05 – Extension Pole – extends up to 4.6m – can be used with any probe

One of the key features of the Eddyfi Lyft is the reporting software and integrated SmartPULSE™ technology. To maintain performance and support users without an advanced knowledge of pulsed eddy current, the SmartPULSE™ technology automatically optimises the pulser and receiver parameters (gain, duration, time gates, filters, etc.) and wall thickness measurements to guarantee accurate inspection data. The data can then be interpreted live onscreen or used to generate asset integrity reports.

Rents with: Lyft System (GD Model), Battery pack (6-8 hours) x 2, AC power supply, manual and Lyft reporting software.  

Renting the Eddyfi Lyft
The Eddyfi Lyft is available for short or long-term rental projects. Prior to dispatch, we’ll work with you to identify which probes and accessories you require to complete your application. Once the system is configured to suit your requirements, it will be dispatched to your chosen address (normally on a next-day service). Once your job is complete, you can either return the equipment to us, or contact us to arrange a collection. It’s that simple!
