PID
Thermo Environmental TVA1000A and 1000B PID/FID
The TVA-1000 incorporates both a PID and an FID, eliminating the need for two different instruments. It provides fast and accurate readings of organic and inorganic vapors and meets EPA Method 21 specifications for monitoring fugitive emissions. Measurements are indicated on two digital displays: an LCD on the control panel simultaneously indicates readings from both detectors, while the field- sampling display on the probe shows one concentration at a time. Data is collected and stored at user programmable intervals and can be downloaded to a PC using software that comes with the rental unit. The TVA-1000 is housed in a NEMA Type 3 enclosure. UHP hydrogen fuel is available for purchase.

Photovac Model 2020 Mini PID
The 2020 PID is ideal for fast detection of VOCs under harsh field conditions, including vapour testing in soils and groundwater headspace testing. The 2020 PID displays the level of contamination on a large, back-lit display. Small and lightweight, the 2020 can be clipped to a belt for hands-free monitoring in the field. The instrument is also an excellent industrial hygiene tool for monitoring toxic gases and vapours in workplace environments. With its high sensitivity, the 2020 easily detects benzene at the OSHA threshold limit value of 1 ppm. Battery operated, the 2020 runs for a comfortable 10 hours on a full charge. The internal datalogger retains a record of the day's activity, which can be downloaded to a PC for analysis and presentation of concentration vs. time. PID hire has never been easier, just contact your local office for more information. Battery operated, the 2020 runs for a comfortable 10 hours on a full charge. RAE Systems MiniRAE 2000 plus IS
The RAE Systems Mini Rae photoionisation detector (PID) is now available to hire from Ashtead Technology. Having a 10.6eV lamp that weighs just over a pound, yet it’s a heavyweight for lead detection, fugitive emissions monitoring to EPA Method 21. The MiniRAE 2000 portable VOC monitor is also a highly useful tool in industrial hygiene and environmental applications, including indoor air quality series.

Thermo Environmental 580B Organic Vapor Meter
The 580B OVM belongs in the category of an oldie but a goodie. Extremely rugged, the instrument is sensitive and accurate in detecting soil contaminants and industrial leaks, in locating spills and leaking underground storage tanks and in other applications that require on-site detection of organic and inorganic vapors. The 580B holds a signal at maximum concentration in order to isolate a chemical leak or perform headspace analysis. The optional 11.8 eV lamp is available for detecting compounds with ionization potentials greater than 10.6 eV, including methylene chloride, carbon tetrachloride and others.

Process Analyzers DL102 Photoionization Detector
The Model 102 Snap-On PID Photoionization Analyzer is a single piece, hand-held unit for the measurement of organic and inorganic species that can be ionized by the UV lamp (9.5, 10.2, 11.7 eV lamp).

RAE ToxiRAE PID
The ToxiRAE is the smallest PID ever, tiny enough to clip or slip into a shirt pocket for on-the-fly monitoring of VOCs. But don't be fooled, this is no 98-pound weakling. The ToxiRAE is a powerful and fully functional PID with all the safety features of the big guys, including RFI shielding, large easy to read back-lit display, an alarm latching mechanism and a 90dB buzzer and flashing red LED set to user-programmable conditions. Alarms can be programmed for STEL, TWA and peak information. Ashtead Technology offers the ToxiRAE single-gas monitors with sensors for chlorine and ammonia.

Draeger Multi PID
The Drager Multi PID combines the advantages of the PID technology as described later with both handiness and ease of use. The handheld device, weighing only 800g, is operated via six keys. Two displays with background illumination provide for clarity. The top display indicates the measured concentration in ppm, the lower one includes a variable display for menu-assisted use via the three special function keys. Thus calibration of the instrument, entry of substance-specific data or transmission to a computer does not require additional training. The individual display mode can be entered via the three special function keys as well. In this way the user can select between the following display modes: indication of the current concentration in ppm, indication of the maximum concentration detected during the measurement, indication of the 15-minute average value, indication of the 8-hour average value. A pocket-sized reference card facilitates orientation in the Multi PID adjustment menu.

Ion Science PhoCheck 5000 PID
The PhoCheck 5000 is an advanced and sophisticated PID available for rental from Ashtead Technology. The versatility makes this an ideal PID to hire for a range of dangerous toxic gases, flammable gases at LEL thresholds and VOC detection. The PhoCheck offers instant laboratory indicative measurements from a rugged, lightweight, handheld instrument, allowing users to make an immediate contamination risk assessment, making this ideal for PID hire from Ashtead.

Ion Science FirstCheck
FirstCheck PID from Ion Science combines complete VOC and toxic gas detection from ppb up to 10,000 ppm with traditional multigas sensors for oxygen (O2), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), carbon monoxide (CO) and explosive gas (LEL) detection. FirstCheck's unique, highly sensitive PID enables the detection of many gases that are toxic and low ppb levels and are undetectable by many other multigas instruments. Traditionally two or three instruments are needed to ensure workers safety now FirstCheck has it all covered in one handheld detector - Making this the perfect PID rental unit.

Ion Science GasCheck 3000
The GasCheck 3000 has been designed for easy operation; it is fitted with a large back lit display clearly showing its numerical readout of any detected leak.. Designed specifically for search and location of non-flammable gases, such as helium and CFC's.

Ion Science GasCheck 5000is
The GasCheck 5000is is conveniently calibrated against helium- the most commontly used tracer gas - and is particularly sensitive to ammonia, argon, butane, hydrogen, SF6 and refrigerants. Leak detection is made easy thanks to the insturment's loud audible alarm and flashing LED, leaving the user in no doubt that a leak has been detected. The adavanced leak detector with download capability for easy data analysis.

RAE Systems MiniRAE 3000 PID
The MiniRAE 3000 PID is the most advanced handheld volatile organic compound (VOC) detector on the market. Its Photoionization Detector’s (PID) extended range of 0 to 15,000 ppm makes it an ideal instrument for applications from industrial hygiene, to leak and hazmat detection. The RF modem allows real-time data transmissions with a base controller located up to 500 feet (or two-miles with optional RAELink2 portable modem) away from the MiniRAE 3000 detector. A personal computer can be used as the base station for a Mini-RAE 3000 system. The standard ProRAE Remote software is capable of monitoring the input of up to 64 remotely-located monitors like MiniRAE 3000, or AreaRAE, etc.

RAE Systems MiniRAE Lite PID
Ideal for simpler VOC detection and monitoring applications, the new MiniRAE Lite from RAE Systems is now available to hire, buy or through our Rent To Own (RTO) and Perpetual Rental Plan (PRP).

Featuring the same lamp as the MiniRAE 3000 and a powerful pump able to draw up to 30m, the MiniRAE Lite is simple to use and robust. Potential applications vary from in-house solvent monitoring and environmental site surveys to construction and Spill Response.
