The GE Hocking Locator 3s, available to rent from Ashtead Technology, is a single frequency eddy current instrument and succeeds the highly popular Locator 2. Locator 3s is the latest in hand held eddy current inspection, designed with the needs of the operator in mind. Its lightness (only 0.94kg), unique keypad controls, ease of programming and particularly its big screen mean lots of inspections with little fatigue. The large LCD display can be seen clearly under any light conditions, even direct sunlight and the lithium-ion batteries allow for over 8 hours of operation, even with the backlight on.

Hocking Locator 2s Eddy Current Instrument
Locator 2s is a single frequency eddy current instrument and succeeds the highly popular Locator 2.

Zetec MIZ 27-SI Eddy Current Instrument
Zetec’s MIZ®27-SI eddy current instrument combines high speed, state of the art testing capabilities with a revolutionary new active matrix color display. The multi-channel, multi-frequency MIZ-27SI makes inspections faster and easier than ever to perform. With the MIZ-27SI’s flexible configurations, you can easily tailor its power and capabilities to meet your specific application requirements. The system can be used to accurately and efficiently inspect both non-ferromagnetic and ferromagnetic materials for flaws such as pitting, corrosion, erosion, cracking and vibrational wear.

Zetec MIZ-21SR Eddy Current Instrument
The MIZ-21SR combines eddy current with two types of bond testing methods; resonance and sondicator. It also includes a built-in made to measure conductivity and coating thickness across a broad frequency range from 60 kHz up to 480 kHz.

Zetec Miz 28 Eddy Current
The MIZ-28 combines both multiplexed and simultaneous injection (SI) technologies into one box that tests most tube materials including magnetic alloys such as carbon steel. Testing with multiplexed frequencies provides the best detection capabilities – from surface cracks to deep flaws – with speed and reliability. Simultaneous injection eddy current technology offers the highest testing speeds and supports remote field testing (RFT). The optional RFT Amplifier supplies the high drive voltages that generate the stronger magnetic field necessary to discriminate the flaws from good material in magnetic products. A 40 GB internal hard drive provides mass storage of recorded inspection data. The included USB portable flash drive lets you easily store, transfer, and carry your data. Pocket-sized and lightweight, flash drives work with any newer PC or Mac with an existing USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 port, no drivers required.

Feritscope MP30 Eddy Current and Magnetic Induction Unit
The rugged MP30 hand-held Feritscope is ideal for users who need separate eddy current and magnetic induction units with full measurement storage, downloading and printing capabilities. The MP30 Feritscope measures ferrite parts found in chemical, utility and other processing plants that are often exposed to heat, aggressive media and high pressure. The ferrit scope determines if the ferrite content is too low or too high.

RD TECH MultiScan MS 5800
The R/D Tech MultiScan MS 5800 ER is a versatile and complete testing tool. It can be configured as a single- or multiple-technique system using eddy current, remote field and magnetic flux leakage. It can also perform manual or automated inspection. This portable instrument can be used anywhere in the field. The MS 5800 ER is PC-based and equipped with user-friendly software packages as well as fast reporting capabilities.

Staveley Nortec 2000D+
The Nortec® series offers the highest resolution of any lightweight portable Eddy Current flaw detector. It has features such as multiple scanner support, single or dual frequency, digital conductivity and non-conductive coating measurement. Its innovative design features an uncluttered keypad and Smartknob, making it extremely simple and intuitive to train on and to operate. The new Nortec2000D+ has all of the features of the standard Nortec® 1000S/2000S series, plus they operate with the latest colour LCD display module, provide VGA output with colour display, and is configured with a single 6.6AH Li-Ion battery for a total weight of less than 4 pounds.

Olympus Nortec 500D
The Nortec 500D, newest eddy current flaw detectors incorporate a full range of features: internal balance coils, VGA output connector (for heads up displays, monitors, and projectors), and a USB interface for rapid information transfer. The Nortec 500 also includes PowerLink™, for automatic probe recognition and program setup. The Nortec 500 is available in three configurations. Each configuration includes digital connectivity and increased resolution with reduced noise. Internal balance coils allow use of inexpensive absolute probes without the need for external balance coil adapters. A built in preamp adds extra gain when needed for difficult tests.

Olympus MS5800 IRIS Multiscan
The Olympus MS5800 IRIS ultrasonic option is used for the inspection of a wide range of materials, including ferrous, non-ferrousm and non-metallic tubing. This technique allows detection and sizing of wall loss as a result of corrosion, erosion, wear, pitting, cracking and baffle cuts. The Olympus MultiScan MS 5800 is a portable multitechnology NDE (nondestructive evaluation) instrument that is suitable for a number of applications, such as: tube inspection, weld inspection, and corrosion mapping. The system may combine any of the following NDT technologies: eddy current testing (ECT), remote field testing (RFT), magnetic flux leakage (MFL), and ultrasonic testing (UT). Each one of the technologies offered provides unique capabilities and superior performance. The MS 5800 may also be used with probe pushers and scanners for automated inspections. The two built-in encoder inputs record the probe position, for accurate location of detected flaws. Acquisition and analysis are both performed from a standard computer.

GE Hocking Phasec 3 Eddy Current Meter
