Gyrocompasses - Mechanical Meridian Subsea Gyrocompass | The Meridian Subsea Gyro provides a reliable, maintenance free operation with a MTBF in excess of 30,000 hours. The high accuracy heading output can be maintained for turn rates in excess of 200° per second making the system ideal for operation in even the most hostile subsea environments. The design of the Meridian Subsea is simple yet highly robust and the fast spin-up time of less then 45 minutes allows for vastly increased efficiencies over earlier mechanical gyro technologies. |
CDL MICRO GYRO | The CDL MicroGyro has been designed to meet the requirement for high quality deep-water recovery of attitude information within the survey industry. The Gyrocompass provides sensor information at a high update rate either through it’s own lightweight umbilical or through customer ROV umbilicals. |
ASHTEAD REMOTE GYROCOMPASS | The Ashtead Remote Gyro offers a compact and robust package of sensors that go together to make an accurate, reliable tool for remote monitoring of heading, pitch, roll, depth, altitude, etc. An integral power pack and optional data logger provide a very flexible tool that can be used completely stand-alone or with ROV, diver, or surface vessel.
Subsea engineering projects demand the installation of equipment in ever deeper water to ever tighter engineering tolerances. It is not always possible or desirable to have a wire link from the instrumentation to a host ROV, structure, or surface vessel. The Remote Gyro provides two means of communication: a subsea acoustic modem, and a display which can be read through the ROV camera.
The Remote Gyro is the ideal tool for installation of subsea structures such as wellheads, manifolds, suction anchors, spar
buoys, etc. |
