XRF analyser radiation safety training

Ashtead Technology offer XRF health, safety & competency training, a course ideal for first time users or those in need of a refresher. 

With a focus on health & safety and competency, our short course will teach you the
theory behind X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) Analysis and explain how to use an XRF
Analyser in a safe and controlled manner.

Under the Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR2017) it’s important that anyone who is
required to operate an XRF Analyser is shown how to use the instrument in the
correct manner and has a full understanding of the health and safety implications.

XRF training course overview

   What is ionizing radiation?
   Shielding & units of measurement
   Dose quantities and legislation
   Effects of radiation exposure
   What is X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF)?
   What is an XRF analyser?
2. Safety
   Control measures & safety monitoring
   Local Rules & Useful reference
3. Practical demonstration
   Showing all you have learnt by demonstrating the safe use of
   equipment
