Gekko is the first portable phased-array flaw detector capable of driving matrix arrays and to perform Total Focusing Methods (TFM) in real time. With state-of-the-art hardware and software, Gekko provides unique features and will continue to improve to follow specification evolutions.

With a 64-channel parallel architecture, Gekko PAUT flaw detector offers at the same time conventional UT, standard PAUT, TOFD and real-time Total Focusing Method (TFM). Some procedures require standard UT, others TOFD or PA. This flaw detector includes all these techniques.

  • 64:64 parallel channels
  • + 4 additional TOFD
  • Conventional UT channels
  • International code compliance: ASME, AWS, API, ASTM, ISO-EN
  • Capture™ 3.2 Software
  • Real-time and adaptive TFM
  • Linear, matrix and dual arrays
  • 3 axis management
  • 3D imaging
  • Cylindrical reconstruction
  • All-level operators
  • Step-by-step applications

Intended for industries such as aerospace, metallurgy, oil & gas, power generation and automotive, GEKKO covers a wide range of applications from corrosion mapping to crack detection and characterization in welded pipes and plates. Thanks to its advanced features, GEKKO can handle thick components, detect and characterize misoriented defects. Superimposition of CAD files to ultrasonic data helps the operators interpret measurements and therefore lowers the rate of false alarms.
