Silverwing Handscan – Manual Tank Floor Scanner

Available as:

Silverwing Handscan Manual Tank Floor Scanner - Available for rental/hire from Ashtead Technology.

Available for rental/hire, the Silverwing Handscan is a manual tank floor scanner for assessing corrosion on small tanks and inaccessible areas.

Utilising Permanent Magnet Technology, the highly accurate MFL scanning head increases the probability of detection of corrosion and is easy to use by semi-skilled operators.

The Handscan is typically used alongside the Silverwing Floormap3Di-M to inspect around any obstructions, shell to annular areas and below/between pipework. Inspection data from the Handscan can then be imported into the SIMS reporting software and combined with data from the Floormap3Di-M to give a full scan of the tank floor.

Highly efficient with rapid scanning, the Handscan has an extendable handle so it can easily be adjusted to suit your inspection area. To minimise cables, the Handscan is battery powered and cable of running for up to 8 hours.

When corrosion is detected, the end user is alerted thanks to the audible and visual alarms.  Sensitivity can be adjusted to ignore any non-relevant corrosion signals.

Rents with: Carry Case, Black Padded, Sensor Head Cable, Shims, Battery Charger Assy, Transit Case, User Manual, Calibration Certificate, Record of Sensitivity and Certificate of Conformity

Renting the Silverwing Handscan

The Silverwing Handscan is available for rental / hire. Prior to dispatch, the Handscan will go through vigorous pre-rental checks to ensure it’s in full working when you receive it. Our experienced technical team will be on hand should you need any support throughout your rental.

Once your inspection is complete you can either return the equipment to us, or contact us to arrange a collection.
