iPEK Crawler and Push Rod Camera Repairs from Ashtead Technology

Introduction

Focused on providing a quality service with good turnaround times, Ashtead Technology are able to offer repair, maintenance and rental replacements for the iPEK Rovion and Rovver Crawler Camera Systems and the Agilios Push Rod Camera System.

Using iPEK approved parts and tools, all repairs are carried out by qualified technicians, in our ISO9001 certified facility. Whilst your system is in for repair, you can hire a replacement unit from our broad rental fleet to avoid any costly downtime.  

Services

  • Diagnostics and Repair – the service centre is able to offer full diagnostics and repair for a range of iPEK inspection systems. Diagnostics and Repairs are completed in-house to ensure a good turnaround time and are completed in conjunction with iPEK recommended guidelines and procedures.    
  • Rental Replacements – to minimise downtime, you’re able to rent a replacement unit whilst your system is in repair (subject to availability)

What’s the process?

If you have a unit that requires a repair, please call the office on 0845 270 2707 or email london@ashtead-technology.com to book in an initial inspection.  You can send the unit to us via your own delivery service, drop the unit off at our warehouse or take advantage of our stress-free collection service.

Once the unit has been received, we’ll book in the initial inspection. One of our qualified technicians will take a look over the unit and identify what repairs need to be carried out. You’ll then be sent an estimated repair summary, which will detail what work needs to be done to the unit and an estimate of how much this will cost.

When you’ve approved the repair, the work will be carried out. If additional repairs are found to be required (or recommended) we will contact you with full details for your approval before commencing.

Once the repairs are complete, your unit will go through our extensive quality checks before it is returned to you.  As with the initial delivery, you can either arrange tocollection your unit, or use our courier service.

Renting replacement units

Whilst your system is in for repair, you will have the option to rent a replacement unit from Ashtead Technology’s broad fleet. We currently have the iPEK Rovion RX 130, iPEK Rovver 125, iPEK Rovver 225 and iPEK Agilios AR90 available to rent.  Alternatively, units are available from other manufacturers. You can rent one of our units for the duration of your repair, subject to availability at the time.

FAQs

How long does a repair typically take?
This can vary, dependent on the nature of the problem. 

Does Ashtead carry spare parts?
We do carry a range of spare parts, but may need to order some items from Germany, which are usually available on a next-day delivery.

Can Ashtead offer collection of equipment needing repair?
Yes – just call the office to get a quotation, which will vary according to the volume of equipment.

Can I pay for the repair costs on a credit card?
Yes – we are able to facilitate this.

I have a credit account with Ashtead – can you invoice me for repair work?
No – repair costs need to be settled in full prior to the equipment being picked up or sent back to you.  We can accept payment by credit card or BACs payment against a pro forma invoice.

What is included in the “initial inspection” fee?
This is a limited inspection which involves diagnosing the specific fault identified and estimating the remedial costs.  It is possible that other faults are identified during the repair process, but these will be communicated to you before any work commences.

Do you use genuine iPEK parts?
Yes, all parts are ordered directly from iPEK, Germany.

Is it possible to rent individual replacement items whilst my equipment is being repaired?
Usually yes – we offer itemised rates for crawler bodies, cameras, reels and control units.  Obviously, these are subject to availability.

Can I wait whilst a repair is being undertaken?
No, we do not have customer waiting facilities.

Can I just turn up and expect a repair to be completed?
Generally no, this is not possible as we have limited resource which may already be committed for other repair jobs.  It is best to call us in advance to check current lead times.
