We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team based in Westhill, Scotland.

This role is responsible for the detailed planning, execution and results of designated offshore projects. Working with the rest of the Asset Integrity team, this role will have primary focus on subsea architecture inspection and 3D imaging. The Project Manager must understand business needs of the client, operational needs of the project and produce results in line with customer expectations.

The role will also include some offshore work (around 60-100 days per year) where additional compensation will be paid for each of those days away.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for all stages of offshore project:

o Project Handover and planning:

• Manage and execute project kick-off

• Team briefing and training

o Project Mobilization

• Equipment allocation, testing, calibration, packing and loadout

• Client Meetings and main client liaison

o Project Execution

• Travel to international offshore locations

• Equipment Assembly and ROV Interfacing

• Offshore data Acquisition, back-up and delivery

• Prepare Daily Progress Reports

• Demobilization, Packing and Return Shipping

o Project Reporting

• Organisation of Wash-up and to ensure all actions are assigned

• Leading the Data Processing

• Quality Control of results

• Leading the report writing, reviewing, and revising as required

o Other Accountabilities

• Supports other company initiatives and projects activities in the region

• Assist business development technology demonstrations and client relationship building activities

• Performs internal and external training on tools and procedures

• Maintains cordial relations with clients and public

• Adhere to Ashtead Technology’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and industry standards

• Follow hierarchy of controls as laid out in company risk assessments for various tasks required to be carried out as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Offshore inspection and project management/execution experience

• Diploma-level education in a relevant field

• 3.3/3.4U Underwater Inspection certificate, NDT certifications, or ROV operating experience

Skills/Knowledge

Essential:

ROV tooling

• Technical report writing

• Basic mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Excellent technical writing skills

Preferred:

• Project Management experience in some capacity considered an asset

• Has previously worked offshore

• Has worked for an offshore service company that specialises in inspection, ideally with a project management and execution role

• Experience in undertaking maintenance, testing and repair of ROV tooling equipment

• Involvement working within an organisation that complies with ISO 9001:2015 standards

PERSONAL QUALITIES

• Able to travel, with flexible onshore/offshore work schedule

• Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership to offshore team

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
