We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Workshop Technician to join our team based in Westhill, Scotland, UK. The ideal candidate for this role will have recently left college and is now looking for their first opportunity to join an organisation and begin to expand on their knowledge.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager or Workshop Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, testing, repair and preparation of stand-alone and integrated subsea survey equipment and/or tooling packages. They will prepare and test equipment for hire, ensuring the kit is fully functional, complete, accurately documented, photographed and professionally presented. They will off-hire returning equipment per workshop procedures and document missing/damaged items, complete repairs to manufacturer standards and carry out electrical safety tests as required by regulations.

The successful candidate will have an HNC/HND/Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or other electrical discipline. They will have excellent problem-solving capabilities, strong verbal and written communication skills as well as a professional attitude, initiative, good time management, organizational skills and a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibility when needed.
