Ashtead Technology are recruiting for a Trainee Technician, a workshop-based position within our Aberdeen facility.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring hire equipment is labelled and identified, will assist in the preparation and testing of equipment for hire and will package equipment suitable for transport requirements. Additionally, they will provide assistance with off-hiring, in testing equipment returning from hire and ensuring equipment is stored safely. They will complete repairs to equipment, will commission new equipment and will assist with electrical safety tests as required by regulations. Other duties will include recording work orders electronically, completing customer’s commercial invoice records and correctly maintaining the stock control system.

The preferred candidate must be hard working with the ability to work to deadlines. Additionally, they will have IT literacy, together with excellent verbal and written communication skills. They will have an HNC/HND/Degree in Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with an interest and practical aptitude in applying this, combined with the desire to learn in the Trainee role.

Ashtead Technology are recruiting for a Technician, a workshop based position within our Middle East facility in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is prepared, tested, labelled, identified, stored safely, calibrated, packaged and recorded appropriately before delivery and to carry out electrical safety tests, as required by regulations.

Principal accountabilities include being responsible for the preparation of subsea survey equipment, ensuring that equipment is suitable for transport requirements, complete with export documentation. Other duties include recording work orders, ensuring equipment is stored correctly and maintaining the stock control system.

The preferred candidate must have problem solving capabilities in addition to excellent verbal and written communication skills. An HNC/HND/Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering/ other technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience. And a track record of experience in a Technician/Engineering role undertaking repair, maintenance and testing of electronic equipment, preferably in a subsea environment.
