Store Person – Westhill – Salary Circa £26,500-£27,500

Responsible for the efficient operation of the Stores and Aberdeen Warehouses, including:

  • Maintain an efficient storage system for all assets, spares and consumables in the Aberdeen workshop and the Aberdeen Annex, ensuring everything is in the right location at all times.
  • Greet and assist customers while receiving or returning equipment from rental.
  • Make sure that all returning equipment is booked into AX promptly and accurately, reporting any missing or damaged items to the Goods In Supervisor and Operations Administrator.
  • Storing terminated equipment in awaiting inspection area and completing the blue status label.
  • Ensure that loads are safely loaded and unloaded from company or other vehicles.
  • Responsible for the safe movement of items within the warehouse and stores areas.
  • Coordinating the movement of assets between Aberdeen workshop and the Annex warehouse and updating AX and stores location records appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse, keeping emergency exits clear, completing a daily housekeeping check and completing a weekly building walk-around checklist with the Operations Manager or designate.
  • Be responsible for coordinating building maintenance needs.
  • Work closely with Logistics and Driver providing cover or assistance to each when necessary.
  • Accepting goods in deliveries and updating AX purchase orders.
  • Manage and maintain stock levels of spare parts and consumables.
  • Ensuring that equipment is suitably and safely packaged and stored on the racking or shelving as the case may be.
  • Responsible for taking the lead on stock-taking of assets as required.
  • Promote a positive Health and Safety attitude, complying with all PPE requirements, emergency procedures and taking part in emergency drills.
  • Adhere to Ashtead Technology’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and industry standards.
  • Perform overtime as directed by the Workshop Supervisors to help meet customer deadlines, complete tasks etc.

UCS, an Ashtead Technology company, are a leading provider of offshore decommissioning tooling and are seeking a Design Engineer to provide engineering support. You will be involved in the design of new and existing tooling ensuring that all design engineering conforms to legislation, regulations & standards.

You will give support to all departments including projects, workshop and clients as and when required.

Qualifications: - (Professional, Academic, Technical, Certificates relevant to job function)

Essential: Minimum HND In Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, proficient in SolidWorks is a must.

Preferred: Engineering Degree/ Mechanical Engineering, Cad, AutoCAD etc.

Experience / Competence:

Essential: 3 years minimum experience in design.

Skills / Knowledge:

Essential: Well-developed engineering skills commensurate with developing good working relationships within an engineering design environment.

Preferred: Worked within an organisation that complies with the ISO 9001 / OHSAS 18001 International Standards.

Personnel Qualities:

UCS’s Technicians role is primarily operational based. The Technicians are generally required to travel to offshore locations to operate, service, maintain, function test and repair, when required, UCS equipment while on client projects. Since he/she may be at varied level of operational experience, it is this that will dictate the depth of his/her involvement in the specific task.

When onshore the Technician will be required to assist in maintenance, operational and training activities along with any other tasks as directed by his/her immediate Supervisor or higher authority.

The Technician is ultimately responsible to the Workshop Manager and operates from Underwater Cutting Solutions base in Inverurie.

Be available for Offshore and Onshore duties as and when required and be suitable / willing to progress through the competency ranks for specified UCS Equipment.

When offshore he/she will be normally be involved in the running of the ancillary equipment and will perform maintenance and operational activities as directed by the immediate supervisor.

Responsibilities differ dependent on the technician’s competency grade for equipment which technician will be utilising and the given position / authority when in a team of technicians on a project. However at level 3, Technicians will be expected to be able to be able to:

Work with UCS Equipment either off-shore or on-shore independently or under supervision of UCS Lead Technician, Supervising authority or Workshop Manager. Operate, function test, carry out maintenance activities or repairs as per project requirements / when required or as instructed by supervising authority or client representatives with regards to operating. Ensure all operations and work is carried out in accordance with UCS QHSE policies and procedures, in a safe manner.

Ensure all relevant and necessary maintenance activities are carried out at planned intervals/when required and are documented correctly. Liaise with QHSE and aid in the investigations and reporting of failures, NCRs and OFI’s. Interfacing with the Client’s Representative at the offshore site, for planning, organizing and executing the work. Participate in toolbox talks. Identification of existing hazards at the worksite, considering the surroundings and the prevailing meteorological conditions that could threaten the safety or health of the personnel and/or endanger the preservation of the environment. Maintaining Daily communications with the UCS office-based Project team via email, fax or telephone links, unless prevented by situations beyond his/her control. In this case communication must be established at any and earliest available opportunities. Complete required paperwork for work carried out either on-shore or off-shore. Inclusive of, but not limited to Maintenance reports, Project Reports, Cutting Logs, Timesheets, Expenses, Customer Satisfaction, Damage Reports, Preventive Actions etc. in a timely manner and submit to UCS Management as required. Participate in pre and post job review meetings and ensure risk assessments are completed and reviewed as required. Participate in close out and implementation of corrective actions, resulting from NCR’s and customer complaints. Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.

A more senior Technician will be expected to be able to:

Suitable to lead and managing a working team assigned for the performance of work. Organization and management of personnel and equipment in order to achieve the best possible results with the operation in hand. Chairperson of tool-box meetings addressed to all team members and third-parties personnel participating or having an interest in the planned cutting operations. Interface with the WROV Lead Operator and/or the Diving Supervisor, as the case may be, to ensure that the operation ahead is properly planned, and that individual tasks and responsibilities are clearly understood and accepted by all parties concerned. This is crucial for the correct and safe execution of the assigned scope of work. Directing the operations of the spread during the entire cycle of the project, from mobilisation to complete demobilization.

Compiling Daily and cutting Reports and obtaining Client’s Representative signature. Post project debriefings and reporting to Client’s Representative assessing and reporting on perceived level of Client’s satisfaction for the work performed by UCS. Organizing de-mob activities with the preparation and execution of relevant documentation including detailed equipment list. Final workshop UCS Equipment and also Hired Equipment maintenance reporting. When not involved in operational projects the Lead Technician may be required to work at our UCS Facility to assist in maintenance, operational and training activities as directed by the Management Team or an appointed Supervisor.

Primary purpose:

To deliver the marketing plan for the London business, on time and on budget for FY2020. This includes advertising, tradeshows and exhibitions, public relations, direct mail, e-mail marketing, social media, search engine optimisation (SEO), PPC, literature (printed and electronic) and promotional items, using a combination of internal and external resources.

Person specification

  • Experience in a marketing role ideally having worked with Campaign Master (or similar), InDesign (or similar), Google Analytics, Microsoft Dynamics and a content management system.
  • Willingness to be managed according to a strict set of KPIs
  • Track record of success with e-mail marketing, exhibitions and social media in a B2B environment.
  • Prior knowledge or aptitude / willingness to learn about scientific and technical equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with a diverse client group
  • Confident, self-driven individual with a clear focus on marketing success and achievement of objectives

Summary of Responsibilities:

Primary Role Summary
