Westhill, UK

NetSuite System Support Administrator

Ashtead Technology has an exciting opportunity for a NetSuite System Support Administrator to join our team based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.

In this role you will support Ashtead Technology in the final stages of a global rollout of NetSuite OneWorld, which will become the principal line of business system ATVANCE. Integrated with the core NetSuite platform we also have ProScope, an advanced project management and rental operations utility; Shepherd CMMS, an advanced equipment maintenance and management tool, and a range of additional SuiteApp’s, and cross platform exposure to the wider ATVANCE eco-system.  You will play a pivotal role in the long-term success of our NetSuite deployment, actively engaging across the business in both tactical and strategic improvement activities, including opportunities for travel to our various operating locations.

Human Resources Coordinator

Ashtead Technology has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.

You will support the HR department with general HR administration, with a heavy emphasis on recruitment and onboarding. Involved in full life cycle recruiting including sourcing, planning and arranging interviews, and offer extension, the right person will be comfortable in a growing, and fast-changing environment and will enjoy providing people solutions. You will engage with the operations team to enhance support around the HR function, understanding the various roles across operations, drafting draft job descriptions for operational review and approval, and posting vacancies on the appropriate social media platforms.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years in similar role, preferably in the energy industry, and will be CIPD qualified, or working towards achieving this. You should have experience of HRIS management and reporting, and knowledge of SharePoint (or similar) and comfortable using Microsoft Office applications. Previous experience with NetSuite would be an advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management and organisational skills, and problem-solving capabilities are essential.

Workshop Technicians

Ashtead Technology has an exciting opportunity for Workshop Technicians to join our team based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.

The role holders will be responsible for the inspection, testing, repair, and preparation of stand-alone and integrated subsea survey equipment and/or tooling packages, ensuring that equipment is fully functional , accurately documented, and stored correctly and safely. You will be capable of completing repairs to equipment to manufacturer standards and conducting electrical safety tests as required by regulations.

The successful candidates will have an HNC/HND/Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or similar electrical qualification, with a minimum of 3 years’ repair, maintenance and equipment testing experience preferred. They will work with a wide range of technologies from specialist manufacturers and cutting edge subsea survey and robotics equipment, opening doors to a range of future opportunities within the company, with opportunities to travel and operate the equipment as part of the global service offered by Ashtead Technology. Design Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer based at our subsea technology hub in Thainstone, Aberdeenshire.

We are looking for a  highly-motivated team player, with a solutions oriented approach and the ability to handle pressure well. They should be able to produce maintenance and engineering drawings for design, manufacture, assembly, and test, placing safety and quality at the forefront of every decision to ensure that our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements. Experience of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously is essential, with a proven ability to deliver design projects within budget and on time.

The successful candidate will be confident with preparing calculations and design packages and will be able to identify suppliers for required parts and components, ensuring that standards are met and necessary documentation is provided. With a proactive approach towards safety they will ensure that all risk assessments are completed prior to function, pressure or operational testing of newly designed equipment, overseeing all testing activities, and creating comprehensive operations, maintenance and safety manuals for each item.

The ideal candidate will have sound organisational and communication skills and well-developed engineering skills to ensure good working relationships within an engineering design environment. A Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree/HND, or a relevant technical equivalent is essential, with 3-5 years’ experience in a similar design role, and proficiency with CAD/AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Experience of other professional 3D CAD packages such as Inventor, Creo or equivalent will be taken into consideration.

Offshore Technicians (with onshore work also)

We have an exciting opportunity for Offshore Technicians (with onshore work also) to join our subsea technology hub in Thainstone, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.

Offshore Technicians are involved with the operation of subsea cutting, dredging and cleaning equipment, travelling to offshore locations to operate, service, maintain, function test and repair mechanical solutions equipment on customer projects. Additional compensation is paid for each day spent offshore, including for weekends away. Whilst onshore the role holder will support maintenance, operational and training activities.

The ideal candidates will be able to confidently plan, organise and execute work, interface with customers and actively participate in toolbox talks. A self-starter, they will ensure that all necessary maintenance activities, documentation, pre and post job review meetings and necessary risk assessments are completed as required and meet QHSE standards.

The successful candidates will have a minimum HNC in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or similar qualification, or equivalent industry experience. A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, their track record will include significant offshore experience in subsea IMR and decommissioning operations and in operating subsea, cutting, dredging and cleaning tools and abrasive experience.

Offshore Survey Engineers – Asset Integrity

Ashtead Technology has an exciting opportunity for experienced Offshore Survey Engineers to support its growing Asset Integrity service line, based at our subsea technology hub in Thainstone, Aberdeenshire.

Successful candidates will travel worldwide to support customers using our advanced subsea monitoring and measurement systems, conducting pre-mobilisation testing, installation and integration, and operation and maintenance of Ashtead Technology in-house and customer-owned equipment, and providing first-line technical support for our customers onsite. The ideal candidates will be able to perform diagnostic fault-finding to identify problems and issue fault reports, as well as complete first-line repairs to equipment, liaising with our global subsea technology hubs for second-line technical assistance where necessary.

Candidates should have positive, problem-solving approach to tasks, and have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a dynamic team. They should also be willing to undertake tasks in the workshop as and when required.

Successful candidates will have an HNC/HND/Degree in Mechatronic/ Electronic Engineering, or proven track record of equivalent industry experience. A current Offshore Survival accreditation including valid medical is essential, as well as prior experience of working with subsea equipment, and working offshore.

Offshore Survey Engineers – Survey & Robotics

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Offshore Survey Engineers to join our Survey & Robotics division, working in the UK offshore sector.

Offshore Survey Engineers are responsible for the installation, integration and commissioning of equipment on customer onshore and offshore sites. The will be able to identify issues with on-site equipment through diagnostic fault-finding, issue fault reports, complete first-line repairs, and prepare, test and package equipment for pre-deployment, liaising with the company’s worldwide facilities for second-line technical assistance where required.

The role holders will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a positive approach to tasks, able to thrive in a high-performing team environment. As Ashtead Technology ambassadors they will provide excellent customer service and fully participate in all client site schemes for QHSE while deployed.

The role holder will drive business growth through the efficient turn-around of rental assets within the Region, effectively managing support priorities for international locations, and identifying new customers/opportunities for our products and services. They will work closely with the existing team to ensure that workshop resources are prioritized to meet business demands and maintain effective customer relationships, whilst optimizing the performance of the warehouse to drive efficiency improvements, eliminating backlogs, and implementing lean processes.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8-years’ managerial experience in the subsea oil and gas industry, in engineering, asset management or service, and a minimum of 4-years’ equipment rental experience.
