Aberdeen, UK

Offshore Survey Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an Offshore Survey Engineer to join our team in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.

Working as part of Ashtead Technology’s Asset Integrity Solutions team, the successful candidate will have a background in offshore survey and subsea monitoring systems with a good knowledge of subsea system integration, including software and IT systems. The position is predominantly offshore, but you will be expected to work onshore and be available for international travel to install and operate a wide range of advanced positioning systems, subsea monitoring and inspection equipment, as part of the service offered by Ashtead Technology. Trainee Electrical/Electronic Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 trainee electrical/electronic technicians to join our group. We are looking for recent graduates in HNC/HND Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar qualifications.

The role will initially be based out of our Mechanical Solutions branch in Thainstone, Inverurie, before moving out to our Survey & Robotics division in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. The successful candidate will receive formal training over a 3-year period and be rewarded financially as they progress. At the end of the training the individuals will have gained significant experience on a wide range of cutting-edge subsea survey and robotics, and mechanical solutions equipment, opening doors to a range of opportunities with the company. This includes opportunities to travel and operate the equipment as part of the global service offered by Ashtead Technology. The role is full-time and permanent.

Working as part of Ashtead Technology’s Mechanical Solutions team, the successful candidate will be an experienced buyer and a skilled negotiator with extensive experience of sourcing services and materials to meet busy delivery schedules. The successful candidate will manage the entire buying process including interfacing with suppliers to achieve best value, delivery and performance. The role holder will monitor procurement activities for long-lead materials and coordinate activities to ensure that critical goods and services are delivered in line with requirements. Key Account Manager

To support business growth we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Key Account Manager to join our Asset Integrity team in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.

The successful candidate will lead business development activities to drive sales and maximise revenue opportunities with new and existing customers. This key role would suit a proactive problem solver with good technical and commercial knowledge of our product and service lines, and understanding of the subsea industry. With least three years’ experience in a relevant field you will have strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to manage customer relationships from initial contact through to closing.

The successful candidate will have an HND/Degree level qualification in a relevant business or technical discipline and/or equivalent work experience. Demonstrable computer skills including excel spreadsheets and Power Point presentations are also expected.

Design Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to join our Mechanical Solutions team in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.

The successful candidate will support the design process from ideation to production, creating new designs as well as updating existing designs, ensuring that all design engineering conforms to relevant legislation, regulation, standards and sound engineering practices. You will thrive in a busy environment often managing multiple complex projects at the same time. You understand the importance of design projects being completed on time and within budget, and have a strong focus on safety and sustainability.

You will have a Mechanical Engineering (or relevant technical equivalent) Bachelor’s Degree preferred, HND in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant technical equivalent) and 3-5 years’ experience. You will also have significant CAD/AutoCAD experience, and be proficient in SolidWorks.
