The primary functions of this position are to ensure all equipment is prepared, tested, labelled, identified, stored safely, calibrated and packaged appropriately before delivery. To carry out electrical safety tests as required by regulations. To maintain and complete work orders and customer records in the ERP.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Equipment

• Responsible for inspection, testing, effective repair maintenance and preparation of equipment for hire

• Ensuring kit is fully functional, complete, accurately documented, photographed and professionally presented

• Ensure that equipment packaging provides appropriate protection and is suitable for safe transport and storage

• Off-hiring and testing equipment returning from hire as per workshop procedures

• Ensure quality control steps are performed on equipment

• Assist in sourcing parts and materials for repairs or maintenance

• Provide input on design and manufacture of engineered solutions Testing and commissioning new equipment

• Carry out electrical safety tests as required by regulations

• Follow hierarchy of controls as laid out in company risk assessments for various tasks required to be carried out as required

Documentation

• Documenting any missing/damaged equipment

• Assist with invoice preparation for rechargeable repairs

• Ensuring equipment is labelled, identified and complete with all spares and ancillary equipment

• Ensure all technical manuals, checklists and spare kit lists are up to date

• Assist with and/or develop content for documentation and testing procedures

• Conduct fault reporting for missing or damaged equipment

• Maintain the stock control system used for spares and consumables, report any shortages

• Completing export details as required

Support

• Provide effective technical support to customers and be available for on call support as required

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production, on weekdays, evenings and weekends as needed

Other

• Be willing to travel offshore at relatively short notice

• Deliver parts and equipment to customers when necessary

• Adhere to Ashtead Technology’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and industry standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• Qualification in Electronic/Electrical Engineering other technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience

• Track record of experience in a technician/engineering role undertaking repair, maintenance and testing of electronic equipment, preferably in a subsea environment

• Extensive knowledge of subsea equipment

• Problem-solving capabilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Preferable to have worked offshore in the past but not essential

PERSONAL QUALITIES

• Professional attitude, uses initiative, good time management and organizational skills making them able to reprioritise in order to meet deadlines

• Keen to take on additional responsibility and lend a hand when needed

• Willing to be flexible with working hours in order to assist with operational demand

We have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Supervisor to join our team based in Houston, TX.

The primary function of this role is to ensure the efficient and safe running of the workshop by supervising the Electronics Technicians and prioritizing the tasks required to satisfy customer orders, inspect returned equipment and maintain equipment to manufacturers’ specifications.

Principal Accountabilities:

General

  • Responsible for the daily workshop supervision of the Electronics Technicians
  • Day to day allocation of tasks to enable orders, inspections, and repairs to be completed against agreed schedules and defined objectives
  • Ensure the workshop remains a safe and tidy working environment
  • Supervise record-keeping in Ashtead ERP to the level required to demonstrate that tasks have been completed with the highest integrity
  • Maintain the stock control system used for spares and consumables

Service delivery

  • Preparing and testing equipment for hire
  • Providing final quality control checks
  • Testing equipment returning from hire and 3rd party
  • Reporting missing/damaged equipment to the Technical Administrator
  • Package equipment suitable for transport requirements
  • Provide technical support to customers and sales staff
  • To provide on-call support

Asset management

  • Commissioning New Equipment
  • Ensuring hire equipment is labelled and identified
  • Ensure that equipment is stored correctly and safely
  • Completing equipment repairs to manufacturers specifications
  • Accurately maintain kit and system accessory lists

QHSE

  • Carry out electrical safety tests as required by regulations
  • Adhere to Ashtead Technology’s policies and operational procedures including Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality.
  • Follow the hierarchy of controls as laid out in company risk assessments for various tasks required to be carried out as required

Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience:

• Associates Degree in Electronic field or equivalent training and experience

• Well established and proven track record in an operations managerial role within the subsea or similar industry

• Well-organized and decisive with excellent communication skills

• Strong leadership, able to manage conflicting priorities and allocation of resources in a dynamic business environment

• Leading the delivery of excellent customer service by example

• Thorough technical, operational, and commercial knowledge of the offshore survey, IRM, and ROV tooling business

• Proficiently competent with Microsoft products (Office applications, ERP systems, etc)

The primary function of this role is to carry out equipment calibrations per either the manufacturer’s guidelines or the appropriate recognized standard. To ensure the calibrated equipment is verified against procedures and standards that provide traceability to recognized standards. Ensure all equipment is prepared, tested, labelled, identified, stored safely, and packaged appropriately before delivery. To carry out electrical safety tests as required by regulations. To maintain and complete work orders in Ashtead’s ERP system.

PRINICPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Adhere to Ashtead Technology’s policies and operational procedures including Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality

• Follow hierarchy of controls as laid out in company risk assessments for various tasks required to be carried out

• Carry out electrical safety tests as required by regulations

• Ensure the laboratory and workshop remain a safe and clean working environment

• Liaise with suppliers providing third party services or supplies

• Calibration Laboratory

• Complete competency training as outlined in the competency plan

• Carry out competent quality standard calibrations per the relevant recognized standards

• Ability to prioritize workload tasks to complete tasks promptly

• Conscientious, methodical, and attentive to fine detail

• Locate measurement record sheets and method statements

• Ability to calibrate/track multiple items of equipment simultaneously impact laboratory performance

• Ability to lift DWT weight set of 10 weights during repeat calibrations

• Utilise company’s ERP to accurately record calibration results in line with manufacturer and industry standards in line with manufacturers guidelines or recognised standards.
