We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Offshore Survey Engineers to join our Survey & Robotics division, working in the UK offshore sector.

Offshore Survey Engineers are responsible for the installation, integration and commissioning of equipment on customer onshore and offshore sites. The will be able to identify issues with on-site equipment through diagnostic fault-finding, issue fault reports, complete first-line repairs, and prepare, test and package equipment for pre-deployment, liaising with the company’s worldwide facilities for second-line technical assistance where required.

The role holders will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a positive approach to tasks, able to thrive in a high-performing team environment. As Ashtead Technology ambassadors they will provide excellent customer service and fully participate in all client site schemes for QHSE while deployed.

The successful candidates will have an HNC/HND/Degree in Electronic Engineering or proven track record of equivalent industry experience and a minimum of 5 years offshore experience in an offshore survey or ROV equipment support environment. Current Offshore Survival accreditation including a valid medical certificate is required as well as previous subsea equipment experience.

Ashtead Technology has an exciting opportunity for experienced Offshore Survey Engineers to support its growing Asset Integrity service line, based at our subsea technology hub in Thainstone, Aberdeenshire.

Successful candidates will travel worldwide to support customers using our advanced subsea monitoring and measurement systems, conducting pre-mobilisation testing, installation and integration, and operation and maintenance of Ashtead Technology in-house and customer-owned equipment, and providing first-line technical support for our customers onsite. The ideal candidates will be able to perform diagnostic fault-finding to identify problems and issue fault reports, as well as complete first-line repairs to equipment, liaising with our global subsea technology hubs for second-line technical assistance where necessary.

Candidates should have positive, problem-solving approach to tasks, and have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a dynamic team. They should also be willing to undertake tasks in the workshop as and when required.

Successful candidates will have an HNC/HND/Degree in Mechatronic/ Electronic Engineering, or proven track record of equivalent industry experience. A current Offshore Survival accreditation including valid medical is essential, as well as prior experience of working with subsea equipment, and working offshore.
