What you’ll be doing:

As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all orders for Ashtead Technology are efficiently, safely and profitably executed for our clients. This role is critical in meeting and exceeding our clients expectations, allowing us to ensure we retain business long term.

• Managing the performance of the workshop staff, ensuring they are adequately informed, trained and meeting expectations.

• Optimising the performance of the warehouse – driving improvements in efficiency, eliminating backlogs, and implementing lean processes to continually improve efficiency.

• Managing and seeking continual improvement in the management and efficient turn-around of rental assets within the Region, and managing support priorities for international locations.

• Promoting teamwork between the sales and workshop functions, actively breaking down traditional barriers and inefficiencies.

What experience you’ll bring:

• Proven track record in an operations managerial role within the subsea or similar industry

• Thorough technical, operational and commercial knowledge of the offshore survey, IRM and ROV tooling business

We are looking for a Project Manager (Mechanical Solutions) to join our Team based in Singapore.

This role is responsible for developing and supporting relationships with clients, identifying market needs and opportunities for Ashtead MS Products / services. Detailed planning and execution of designated MS offshore projects. The Project Manager must understand client requirements, operational needs of the project and produce results in line with customer expectations under the supervision of the Operations Manager.

Principal Accountabilities

• Front line technical support for clients, understanding technical challenges and providing solutions

• Responsible for all MS technical sales quotations content including commercial requirements

• Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers

• Proactively manage and strengthen client relationships by being their problem solving “go to” person

• Continually follow up with clients through opportunity cycle, assisting where required and ensuring quality service delivery to secure repeat business

• Ability to cold call prospects with confidence to gain new clients while promoting AT product service lines

• Responsible for the project P&L and ensuring all project invoicing is submitted on time

• Following up on submitted enquires with the client and supporting the client

• Provide excellent customer service as a consistent point of contact for new and existing customer

• Manage projects within the ERP system from set up to close out

As an Onshore Survey Technician at Ashtead Technology, you will be responsible for ensuring all survey equipment is prepared, tested, labelled, identified, stored, calibrated and packaged correctly before going out for delivery.

Key responsibilities;

• Responsible for the inspection, testing, repair, and preparation of stand-alone and integrated subsea survey equipment and/or tooling packages

• Preparing and testing equipment for hire, ensuring the kit is fully functional, complete, accurately documented, photographed, and professionally presented

• Off-hiring and testing equipment returning from hire as per workshop procedures

• Completing repairs to equipment to manufacturer standards

• Travel offshore/dockside to assist as per client requirements

• Carry out electrical safety tests as required by regulations

As ROV Tooling Workshop Supervisor, your role is to aid the Workshop Manager in ensuring that the workshop operates in an efficient and safe manner. You will also be responsible for the welfare of the workshop personnel and equipment, delegating work as required.

This is a hands-on role and the ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and servicing hydraulic and subsea equipment at a level suitable where they can give advice and instruction to other workshop personnel.

Key responsibilities:

• Aiding the Workshop Manager with on-site activities, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with company QHSE guidelines and Customer requirements.

• Liasing with internal and external customers, ensuring all work undertaken is done so effciciently, in a safe manner and in accordance with customer requirements.

• Overseeing, participating in, and ensuring successful and safe completion of projects required for off/onshore operations.

• Delegating where required, supervising, and overseeing workshop and yard activity, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in-line with company policies and procedures, along with necessary regulations legislative requirements.

• Ensuring all equipment and accessories remain within all required certification dates. i.e. LOLER / lifting certification, pressure test certification, calibration etc.

• Ensuring all relevant and necessary tooling and equipment maintenance activities are carried out at set, planned intervals, and as required for operational requirements liaising with the Commercial Manager.

• Liaising with QHSE and aiding in the investigations and reporting of failures, NCRs, OFI’s and Accidents & Incidents.

• Participating in the development of the Workshop team.

• Participating in pre and post job review meetings and ensuring all risk assessments are completed and regularly reviewed. Participate in close out and implementation of corrective actions, resulting from NCR’s and customer complaints.

• Ensuring all tasks that are being carried out have been suitable risk assessed where required, toolbox talks conducted as required with the necessary controls put into place. Ensuring all relevant personnel are familiarized with required controls and ensure they are enforced and followed.

• Ensuring workshop and yard remain clean, tidy, and environmentally friendly, with substances, tooling, equipment, and any other items being put away after use and stored in the correct manner

• Knowledge and experience working with Hydraulics & Hydraulic Systems

• Experience in a Supervisory role, either leading or managing teams within a workshop environment.

This role is based on-site in Singapore but there will offshore trips required for various projects.

What experience you’ll bring:

• Demonstrated experience in a technician role undertaking repair, maintenance and testing of ROV Tooling equipment, preferably in a subsea environment.

• Solid understanding with hydraulics/mechanics, ability to read schematics including fault finding

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering/ other technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience

• Problem-solving capabilities
