As Group QHSE Director, you will bring your extensive experience to spearhead a safety culture throughout our global business and be responsible for devising and executing strategies and campaigns to keep our people safe and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Reporting to the CEO, some of your key responsibilities will be;

• Strategic Leadership – providing leadership in the development of the QHSE culture & be a senior source of expertise in QHSE

• Policy & procedure development – developing, implementing & maintaining QHSE policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring they are in compliance with applicable regulations & standards

• Compliance & risk management – managing internal & external audits, leading the generation of risk assessments, planning and risk mitigation and ensuring that the business has valid measures in place to track compliance

• Training & Education – providing technical guidance & training, regularly reviewing and updating QHSE documentation to enable the group to meet relevant standards, adopting a “One Team” approach.

• Incident Investigation & reporting – anticipating and responding to major developments in QHSE legislation and advising the executive team of opportunities and risks identified throughout the Group, and ensuring appropriate strategies and plans are developed and executed to address these.

• Environmental Management – managing the process of quality, health, safety and environmental performance data collection, its verification and analysis to prepare Group reports as required.

• Stakeholder engagement – working effectively and efficiently across international geographies, promoting constructive dialogue and collaborating within and across all boundaries to drive results

What you’ll be doing:

Joining Ashtead Technology as an Electronics Engineer, you will work with the team to build on your practical experience & knowledge in various aspects of electronics engineering.

This is a varied role where one day you could be in the workshop preparing and testing equipment for hire or sale, and the next day attending vessels for system commission!

You will also be involved in the assembly, preparation and test of Ashtead Technology’s proprietary ROV subsea inspection and remote monitoring systems for use with our energy sector clients worldwide.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be part of our Asset Integrity (AI) team, providing technical and operational support for our AI offshore inspection campaigns, ensuring all offshore inspection equipment is prepared, tested, calibrated, and stored safely prior to project mobilization.

The position is based at the workshop, however there will be a requirement to travel offshore to operate, service, and maintain inspection equipment including Mini ROV’s (Remotely Operated Vehicles). Offshore project execution is expected to be around 120 – 150 days per year.

• Previous experience in an Inspection role, within a subsea technology environment.

• You will hold a qualification in Electrical/Electronics/Engineering Systems, or have relevant industry experience

• Knowledge of data communications including IP and serial data configuration and hardware

• Experience of assembling and test, of electronic equipment, preferably in a subsea environment

• ROV piloting experience, preferably experience with Mini ROV operations

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be part of our Asset Integrity (AI) team, acting as an Ashtead Technology ambassador, displaying excellent customer service, positive attitude and fully participating in any client site schemes for Safety, Quality, etc whilst deployed.

When working offshore, you will be responsible for the installation, integration and commissioning of equipment on customer onshore and offshore sites.

You will ensure you’re operating & using equipment in accordance with the project specific procedures offshore and also providing first line technical support to clients on-site & offshore.
