Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the inspection, testing, repair, and preparation of stand-alone and integrated subsea survey equipment and/or tooling packages

• Preparing and testing equipment for hire, ensuring the kit is fully functional, complete, accurately documented, photographed, and professionally presented

• Off-hiring and testing equipment returning from hire as per workshop procedures

• Completing repairs to equipment to manufacturer standards

• Travel offshore/dockside to assist as per client requirements

• Carry out electrical safety tests as required by regulations

• Commissioning New Plant

• Package and secure equipment suitable for the transport requirements.

• Ensure that test equipment used during measurement and calibration is within calibration.

• To provide on call support on rotation

Skills & qualifications

• HNC/HND/Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering/ other technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience

• Track record of experience in a Technician/Engineering role undertaking repair, maintenance and testing of electronic equipment, preferably in a subsea environment

• Extensive knowledge of subsea equipment

• Problem-solving capabilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Offshore experience preferred

This is a full-time, on-site Inspection Services Technician role located in Westhill. The primary function of this role is to provide technical and operational support for Asset Integrity offshore inspection campaigns and to ensure all offshore inspection equipment is prepared, tested, calibrated, and stored safely prior to project mobilization.

The position is based at the workshop, however there will be a requirement to travel offshore to operate, service, and maintain inspection equipment including Mini ROV’s (Remotely Operated Vehicles).

As Business Application Trainer, you will be responsible for providing training and support to our global user community on various business applications utilized within Ashtead Technology.  There will be a range of applications you will support including our ERP, LMS, QMS and more! You will ensure that our global users of these applications have the necessary knowledge to utilize them effectively, and create efficiency in their roles.

You will take your experience and knowledge in business applications and turn that into digestible training, whether that be in person classroom or online, and engage our user community, globally.

Ultimately, you’ll be the business applications guru, and the first point of contract for first level questions & advice.

You don’t need to be an IT expert to do be successful in this role; being confident in the use of business applications and having a passion for helping people is what’s key!
