Underwater Cutting Solutions (UCS), an Ashtead Technology company, has unveiled a new Operations Manager to drive the company’s continued expansion.

Richard Lind will lead operations from the company’s Inverurie, Aberdeenshire base, assisting UCS General Manager Fraser Collis.

Richard, previously of Claxton Engineering, brings extensive business development and commercial management skills to the role, having spent three decades within the subsea industry.

Richard Lind, Operations Manager for Underwater Cutting Solutions, said: “I am excited to be taking on this role at UCS during such an important period for the business.

“With our exceptional in-house engineering capabilities, UCS is known for its ability to deliver tailored, cost-effective and reliable solutions for its customers.”

Richard has held various managerial and leadership roles while working for Proserv and Baker Hughes, including postings in the Middle East and Asia.

Fraser Collis, General Manager for Underwater Cutting Solutions, said: “We are delighted to welcome Richard to the UCS team. His industry knowledge and experience will be vital in the execution of near and long-term business objectives.
