The ACE 550Te Linear Winch consists of rigid outer framework housing two gripper units, each fitted to a travelling trolley arrangement. Each gripper is actuated by two hydraulic cylinders mounted within the outer framework.
The Linear Winch operates by using two gripping mechanisms to pull in a wire rope. The gripper wedges have interchangeable jaws allowing for differing wire diameters to be used.
