The Pipe Recovery Tool – 32″ – Single Grab is designed to recover cut lengths of pipe or debris from the seabed floor and return them to deck during decom operations. The tool is designed to be crane deployed and can recover lengths of pipe and/or debris of about ~ 0.5m in length.
The tool consists of one large pipe grab with a total SWL of 8 Te.
A mounting panel provides two quick connects for downlines, a pressure gauge and a counterbalance valve to open & close the grab and ensure pressure can be ‘locked in’, allowing the grab to remain open or closed if hydraulic supply was to be lost.
The tool has a circular ROV grab bar at around the top of the tool. This is so that the tool can be positioned subsea by the ROV if required.
The Pipe Recovery Tool – 32″ – Single Grab uses a single central pad eye for lifting the required load or debris.
