The Pipe Recovery Tool 48” – 6m is designed to recover lengths of cut pipe from the seabed floor and return them to deck during decommissioning operations. The tool is designed to be crane-deployed and can recover lengths of pipe from ~6m upwards.
The tool consists of two large pipe-grabs positioned at either end of the tool, with a total SWL of 40,000 kg. It features a mounting panel with two quick connects for downlines, a pressure gauge, and a counterbalance valve to open and close the two grabs and ensure pressure can be ‘locked in’, allowing the grabs to remain open or closed if hydraulic supply is lost.
