The hydraulic LAOT is designed to provide an override function to open a 5 1/8 in actuator operating a production wing valve or production master valve on a subsea X-mas tree.
The tool has a fail safe closed feature and has a design life of 25 years. It can be permanently installed on the existing x-mas tree actuator and remotely controlled via the surface control module (SCM).
