The Tool is designed for locking open gate valves on XMTs. It is used in conjunction with the Oceaneering Linear Actuator Override Tool. The LOT is used on 2 in and 5 in gate valves with ISO 13628-8 Type A Interface.
The tool is designed to withstand an axial force of 7 ton. The LOT can be left on the gate valve actuator for an extended period of time.
