The Vortex Marine Guardian Oil Absorption Tool is designed to capture oil and water within the included filter and – which can cover a flange being opened or hydraulic hose being cut for example. The oil and water is sucked into pump then pumped into the filter housing where the oil is absorbed by the filters and the water passes out to ambient. The filters are recovered to surface for disposal in accordance with local regulations.
This tool has been developed to be integrated with the Webtool and Holmatro cutters in Ashtead Technology’s fleet.
