Specifically, for the offshore wind sector, our broad range of cutting solutions and methodologies supports the installation and removal of monopiles, met masts and turbine foundations.
Our comprehensive range of cutting systems includes patented diamond wire and dual cut bandsaws, chop saws, hydraulic shears, and abrasive waterjet cutting systems. These can be configured for diver or ROV-deployed use, as many customers move away from traditional methods of diver installation in favour of remote operations.
We deliver user-friendly, high performance cutting systems which can be bespoke-engineered to exact project requirements. International technical support and operational capability is available from our highly-experienced and trained technicians.
Abrasive cutting
We offer a range of high-performance abrasive waterjet cutting solutions which can be tailored to our customers’ unique project requirements for various applications including inspection, repair & maintenance, platform life extension and decommissioning projects.
Ashtead Technology’s abrasive waterjet cutting systems and related equipment are ideal for efficient, high-pressure cutting on a variety of subsea and topside structures. Our range is designed and engineered in-house, and includes abrasive waterjet cutting systems, abrasive hole cutters, circumferential manipulators, internal pipe cutters and a selection of profile cutters.
In 2019, Ashtead Technology acquired Underwater Cutting Solutions Ltd to
further strengthen our topside and subsea cutting track record and capability across the energy service sector.
This addition to our portfolio underlined our ambition to be
a global leader in IMR and provide one of the widest subsea equipment and
service offerings in this field to our customers.
